You CAN breathe!

Well I woke up this morning, and again with the dry EVERYTHING, mouth, throat, eyes, upper lungs. I felt like I had slept half the night in the desert. So I manage to get myself out of bed and get a drink. I sit down, and start trying to write down the due dates for my class assigments in my planner for the semester. Well the dryness in my throat quickly turns into what feels like a lump and tightness. And just as quick as that I can't breathe. So, my first panic attack of the day. I got up and walked around, talking to myself in my head, (it makes me feel better to move around and pace when I'm feeling really keyed up). I finally talked myself down and sat back down to finish. This continued off and on for hours. My husband called during his break and all I could gasp out was that my throat felt tight and that I was angry with myself for catastrophizing it. After that I made myself some tea, cleaned up my vaporizer for tonight and tried to breathe in as much steam from the kettle as I could to try and moisturize my lungs and trachea again. The tea made me feel woozy and either it or the panic made me feel dizzy, so I spent a terrible five minutes quite literally power walking around the house, telling myself I didn't need emergency care, I was fine, my throat was not swelling shut. Then I Googled some stuff about throat tightness, chest tightness and anxiety. It reassured me a good bit that it was not an emergency situation. Now my husband will be home soon, and I know from the minute he walks in the door, my anxiety will drop like a stone in a lake. He's my safe person, he's what it takes for me to feel anything eve resembling normal in this hell of a life.
