YO-YO

I had bloodwork drawn and even though I have yet to go over results with my NP I had to check them out. There were a few that went down, but I still think there is reason to believe original concerns were pointing the right direction. Judging by symptoms I think I am probably starting with kidney issues. We will soon see.

I have grown tired of feeling like the up and down YO-YO or better still... the damn punching bag. I try to keep plugging (having faith that God will help me through this) then I'll have a rough time (no sleep, too much sleep, neuropathy flare up, so many aches and pains I try to get comfy in my decrepit recliner)  It is like I give it the old fight and head back to ok, than get slugged back down to either the side with the emotion and fear and hopelessness, back to center, over to physical pain

It could be the fact that last night I actually got very little sleep (as opposed to the rest of the time I am tired all the time) so I think I am a bit more weepy and feeling down and low.   Not sure, just tired of it all

On a plus side, nephew just popped in because they were worried about me . He also offered if I want to go with them to see sis they'd take me and push me in wheelchair because he says it is an even farther walk then it was before (which in current state I could never survive.

hugs my friend. Wait until you get all the results. Please be gentle with yourself. Being tired comes with age. I am tired all the time too. Maybe our iron level is low. Hugs and stay strong

Kim, I've been dealing with kidney crap for a Long Time...God Bless my little kidney as it plods along at 20% functioning. It's very hard to wait, but if you need more blood work done, I'd suggest your vit D level and thyroid. Both can wreak havoc with sleep. It's Crazy but the neuropathy in both my legs from knees down was not due to old back injury which I had surgery for...it was my Thyroid and Synthroid being out of whack!!! I was on 88 micrograms of synthroid, when it was reduce in half my """"neuropathy"""" went away! My vit D level was at 20, so I started to take 5000mg of vit d, again, now it's up to level 50 and my mental health is getting better, as well as sleep.

Anything I can do, just message me...((((Hugs))) ml

Thanks everybody. I just got an order in the mail to be tested for anemia too I am already taking vitamin D. Between all my Drs I think they have about covered everything. A1C is still high but down a smidge from mid Dec... Sodium is at what it should be, potassium is just above, but other stuff having to do with diabetes and sugar are still up. Thyroid levels were also checked, but I'm not sure which panel they are in. I will find out this week.

BEING OLD SUCKS!!!!

I WANT MY DAMN MAGIC WAND!!!

Hope your NP can relieve your fears & guides you to a healthier life. No shame in accepting help from family even it is for a ride in a wheel chair. Could be a fun adventure tearing up the halls??? Continue support & prayers. Getting old does suck but don"t give up until He calls you. Hugs!

Hee-hee.You did make me smile! The more current ones still have a smile (but more chins and wrinkles. I may be mistaken for a Sharpee?? not a pen but a very wrinkly dog. lol)

I can actually imagine my crew racing me down the halls (but I'd wager my nephew's kids would be at the helm. The 8 yr old wants to race all the time. he and I could race his 15 yr old sister. )

Just talking with them these last two days I have come to find that they do care and worry and would help me more. I just need to ask.
But for now I am good. I went to pharmacy, store and for gas and am ready to be snowed in.

PS Brooke, I am not giving up. Just like the energizer rabbit (on a mild sedative perhaps) I'll keep pluggoing til he does call.

VQ, you matter to a lot of people. Even on here. I feel weepy sometimes when I am having to explain to my various doctors "how I am feeling" right now. My health is complicated and it depresses me to explain it again. Or to have to think about it on a deep level like with the doctors and the tests.

mlro853, good to know about the too high of thyroid meds. I was wondering lately if mine was too high but it doesn't feel too high! I also keep my vitamin D blood levels up to about 75-80 ug to feel good.

So VQ, look at your D blood level and if it isn't what a typical doctor calls abnormally high, consider taking more D if you think you might need it. I currently take 4000 mg D per day, have done 5000 mg per day but got my D up to 100 ug in the blood and doctors freak. Last time was 75 ug. I consider that my normal or preferred level. D makes me feel all over happier, better, healthier. I hope you get answers about your kidney and all of that. Sounds like you have good medical care which is a blessing. Hugs to you.
