Yet another Hearing Test!!! OMG!
Ok, so the "Girlfriend" sees a ad in the paper last week that says that this company is looking for 100 Tinnitus sufferers to do a study on something that they feel works for them. The 100 Sufferers will be allowed to have the product Free.
Hmmm..... So we bit. Turns out to be an auditory doctor who liked the fact that I brought with me the auditory test printout from Dr. Margzar from a couple years ago. The used that to write a program on their computer matching his graph. they downloaded it into this little hearing aid. stuck it into my ears. WOW!!! This made an enormous improvement!!! OMG!!! Nothing has ever done this!! OMG!!! they are only $12,000.00 But for me, (I wonder why I'm special) they would give me the unheard of price of $3995.00. So what happend to the Free thing? ?????
Well, My insurance wont pay for that. It was not very nice to have a "thing" that possibly helps, and then have them take it away. :( Even with it in however, the Tinnitus was still raging. But the other sounds were louder now, and It was incredible! I could hear a book scraping across the desk! I never knew they made any sound!!
Oh well, I learned that I don't just have moderate hearing loss either.....
Well, I'm working on something hopefully that will help pay for this next monster expense.....

Interesting, Mike! Yeah, what happened to the free thing, ha? Was it a hearing aid and what did they do to it to make it special for you? Does it have a name? Do you have to buy TWO or just one? I hope you posted this on the boards for all to read about. :) I\'ll have to go check...
