Yesterday was a great day

We'll we (husband, T, & I) met at the high school for T's I.E.P. meeting and ........ T will be going to the alternative on-line school that the district will pay for!  And he'll receive FREE transportation!  T looked very good at the meeting, too.  It was evident to all!  And T doesn't have as many credits to make up as we all had thought - including the staff!  So that was good news!  This was the first meeting in a long time that we could relax.  At the end of the meeting T's former tutor hugged me and said that this was nice to see me smile instead of cry!   Also at the end of the meeting - I gave the Principal another copy of my parent resources packet and an envelope with a letter of request asking if his Youth Philanthropy group would consider making a donation to the new organization I joined that raises funds for families with adolescents who need drug treatment.  He said he just met with the students and will again to find out if this is something they may consider doing.  I hope so.  After that he said he had heard that I'm doing a program at the middle school for parents.  I wish I would have just nodded and said yes.  No - I didn't. There is something about this man that makes me very nervous.  Maybe it's his mannerisms, maybe it's because he doesn't always look at you in the eye, maybe it's his size, and maybe it's because whenever I've requested anything in the advocacy area he would make it difficult for me by not responding.  So - what do I do?  I babble!  I was all over the place trying to describe what the programs were about that my husband ended up jumping in.  Oh yeah - I am going to be speaking in front of a room of 250+ people and I can't even speak to him.  LOL    I mentioned yesterday was a great day.  It was the last day of class with the little ones and I had so much fun!  I'm going to miss it.  Now that I know T is settled with transportation (that was one of the things that was up in the air) I can think about seeking work again - but AFTER my program is settled.  There are still some loose ends to contend with. Oh - I mentioned that yesterday was a great day, a few times.  Well, today?  It hasn't started out very well because T didn't come home........  He can be so arrogant sometimes.  On the other hand - he's been great with everything else.  The company he's been keeping is a good sign, too.   Well - today is early enough - and, perhaps, it won't be as bad as it's starting out to be.....
