yesterday
Yesterday started off great, altho awake too early thanks to upside down body clock from shift work.. went and got a massage as it's well overdue. Massage was lovely but couldn't shake the headache and melancholy feeling so lay on the couch most of the day.. then I decided to push through the discomfort (physical and emotional) and got up, put on a few loads of washing and started to clean up the house. Haven't done my dishes in weeks and the place stinks from the dog and stale air. Finding the mojo to clean up is mission impossible.
I'm so envious of these people who have social lives and seem to be living fulfilling lives, smiling, happy, joyful, surrounded by great friends... always busy but never too tired.
I have just lost that zest for life I used to have - anyone else feel that way? I don't really enjoy much these days. Being socially withdrawn and isolated it's hard to enjoy most things on my own and catch 22 it's hard to meet new people when I have no energy or am working or just not in the right frame of mind to get out of my comfort zone.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend

Step out and do something with the dog, Take a moment or two and do a quick task.
It's little bits that get the big stuff to the finish line.
Make your comfort zone a larger area.
Best wishes as you find your better balance.
Do try to go out. Go for a walk. Maybe meet up with a friend. Go shopping. Do a hobby. Take the dog for a walk. Just staying busy will help. Good luck and do something fun and enjoy life. Enjoy your weekend. Go out and enjoy yourself. Italianmomma4ever
I agree with Mid and Italian. Doing just a little bit. Forcing yourself to do 1 or 2 small things, just a small cleaning task and a short walk. Maybe have an email chat with a friend or text. Maybe make plans for next weekend…… My girlfriend and I find taking baby steps to be helpful. Best wishes, Fret.
Yes, as others have said...baby steps. You don't have to do everything at once. The small accomplishments will add up. Kudos for pushing through and doing some laundry. My hubby works rotating shifts, so I know how difficult that can be. Hope the rest of your weekend goes well!
Thank you everyone. I did manage to get some housework done, but I still feel quite overwhelmed at the amount yet to be done. At least I'm chipping away at it I suppose. Yesterday (Sunday) was a very hot day, 37C so I spent most of the day indoors in the aircon. Today I will continue some housework (it's really never ending lol) and go visit my dad who is unwell.
Hope you all have a great day xx
