Yesterday
Right, giving my GP a kick up the backside made him finally do his job.We recieved a call yesterday from a clinic close by who deals with outpatient treatment of eating disorders. When she spoke to my Mum on the phone, she explained that she'd got a referral letter from the GP in a fax. My Mum asked what she knew about me. Her reply was "well...not a lot. The letter simply says that's your daughter has lost a bit of weight and she needs to be referred to an eating disorder clinic". Then she told us that she was aware I was under a Dr at another hospital...the wrong one. My Mum told her that we were having problems with our GP with him keep giving the wrong information. The lady was very nice and my Mum explained what was really going on. She didn't even know that I'd been diagnosed with Anorexia. My Mum also explained that the Dr I was under was my psychiatrist and gave her the correct name of the hospital. She then told her I was Bipolar with BPD traits and I was a self-harmer and get suicidal thoughts. The lady was a bit surprised. She has told us that she is going to speak to their doctor there and he'll contact us on Monday because she wasn't sure that they would have the facilities to deal with me. Even if they do say they can give me treatment she has told us that people requiring either day or inpatient treatment are sent to their main hospital in central/north east of london. There's no way it's going to be possible, so in a way, we're hoping that they say no we can't deal with you. They might just ask us to go for an assessment.Will probably update on Monday now because I don't have anything to say for tomorrow.

Get the assessment done very important and worry about the allocation afterwards, please dont set obstacles, because the NHS can\'t cope with them, get the assessment for tier 4 care then worry about the practicalities, I was so worried about my allocation being in Surrey and then they placed her at the nearest so try not to dictate.
