Yellow Zone or Action Plan Blues
I stumbled into my yellow zone this evening. I was always an athletic non smoker so my personal best was pretty high, in the high 600's. However I wasn't feeling too perky today and tonight it is 434. I was a little shocked at that because I was a little tired but not coughing. (OK I"ll be honest. I have felt exhausted) Asthma can be sneaky. That plants me firmly in my yellow zone so it's action plan time. I'm in the middle of my second nebulizer treatment of the three I'm supposed to take in an hour. (One every 20 minutes). Then I'm supposed to take my peak flow measurement again. If they return to my green zone then I'm in the clear...if not, uh oh. Let's just hope 500 comes up. It may seem silly that I'm typing this now but it gives me something to do while taking the treatment...and it keeps me from freaking out. I have become rather adept at typing while using my nebulizer. I don't expect any one to have to read this, it just takes my mind off of things. If you are reading this, I will update after the next treatment and peak flow test. Tom p.s.UPDATE: peak flow is now 522. Success. Be well.Tom

I\'m glad your PF came back up. I completely understand about the rambling while waiting...you need something to keep your mind otherwise occupied.
Stay in and relax today...try not to push yourself so hard. You know it takes time to heal and it can\'t be rushed. Even though we wish we could rush it. I know it\'s easier said than done. I am just as guilty as you about trying to rush things. My mind says \"The doc said what it is, I filled the script, now I must be healed!\"
Have a great day!
Robin
I listen to every word you type. :-D
Okay, good....522, that\'s good. So, hoping it stays up. Please update. Robin\'s right, stay inside and take it easy.
