X mother in law in town and staying with us
My x mother in law came in yesturday, in from New Zealand, when I opened the door she hugged me and cried for what seemed like 10 minutes, we both cried. We sat down for tea, I had not done this new zealand custom for atleast a year. it was nice , she told me I have to move on , that her daughter is gone. That I need to move on with my life and protect my son and help him as well. It was surreal to hear this from the mother of my X wife. the in law does not want to see her daughter while she is hear. We discussed in detail some of the events that she did not know and she was and is shocked. She is the first of that side of the family to actually see us.
She cried when she saw her grandchild, and he is bewilldered some what and does not really know what to make of this visit. He is very much on edge, tomorrow is when his mother attempted and black friday is when he found her, but the dates are , the 24th and 25th so. I have planned stuff to do for us.
My x mother in law wants to help me move stuff out, paint etc. she came back today with New Zealand candies, food for us, plants for the house and overall odds and ends. I am very grateful, that my son is safe, that he is doing better and that his life is moving foward!

It\'s so good you have that support... especially for your son. It\'s something he needs even though he probably doesn\'t realize it. Have a great Thanksgiving!
