Wyatts Headstone
Well after almost a full year, they (the cemetary) finally put in Wyatts headstone. I will post a picture. I dont know if you all remember but I wanted to put a little boy fishing on his headstone and they would not allow it. They said it wasnt religous enough. As I was devistated about that because that is what he would have been doing with his daddy we found a picture of a angel to use that was on a book that we read to Payton to explain to her where her brother was. As I see the headstone its nice but its just not what I wanted for our son. I was only granted one decision for him and the cemetery took that away from me. I still am very bitter about that also about the fact that it took them a damn year to get it in. We lost him in July and they put in in in May. It shouldnt take that long. But you know we should have had to put one in at all. It was weird when my husband said he went to see it first and said it looks really nice I think you will like it. I just lost it and started crying I didnt want to like it. I wanted to have our son here not a stone with his name on it. So I went to see it on Memorial day and I could not stop crying. It was the most I have cried since we buried him. I just felt lost and almost like it was so final now since his stone was there. I miss you Wyatt.

Wasn\'t religious enough? Seriously? They can do that?? You are right, we don\'t want a stone with our babies name on it, we want our babies. I don\'t know if any headstone would have been perfect. I hope you have a gentle weekend. Hugs-Heather
I\'m sorry that they took that away from you. The gravestone made me feel like it was final that Faith was really gone. I have a hard time going. I\'d rather look at my pictures of her and remember her warmth as I held her in the hospital. Keeping you in my prayers. Hugs, Cynthia
I\'m glad you finally got it put down. I didn\'t know they could take so long! We haven\'t been able to buy one yet and I have really been wanting to but didn\'t realize it could be so emotional. I haven\'t visited my sons grave. Its been 8 months. But I think when I have the headstone it will be easier for some reason to visit. I cant explain why, I just dont want to visit an \"empty\" spot...
I\'m so sorry that they blocked you from making that decision. I had such a hard time with the gravestone too, I went to pick it out but have not seen it since it was put in the ground. I am just not brave enough to yet, and it has been in for a year now. I prefer to go to the tree that I planted for her, a living tribute instead of a cold slab of granite. I\'m thinking of you and I know that seeing it must have been so emotional. I\'m just so very sorry.
Thanks to you all for your kind words and for listening to me ramble on. Everyone have a blessed day. Candy
Yeah, I know what you mean about how it feels so much more final now. I felt that same way. I wish it weren\'t like this for you. I am so very sorry. I wish I could bring Wyatt back to you. I am also sorry that you weren\'t able to get the headstone you wanted...I think that is beyond unfair on the cemetary\'s behalf!! I am so mad at them!! How dare them. Sorry, I just think that it should be up to the family. I do have to say that though it wasn\'t exactly what you wanted, I do think it is still very nice. Thinking of you. Hugs.
