wow - a dream come true!

My presentation went very well! Whew!  Received tons of compliments and although that was great ~  I am still trying to come to terms with something a local school resource officer told me.  
The convention was sold out - about 300 people attended.  After my talk a few people wanted to talk to me afterward - which was nice but I wanted to get out of the room, find my table in the ballroom so I could sit down and eat. Got there a bit late - so I "lost" my seat at the reserved table up front. Found somewhere else to sit - that ended up being the better place to sit because I knew a few of the people.  One is a drug counselor at high school not far from our community.  When I joined them she told me that a police officer (SRO) was looking for me but had left the table for a bit. When he returned he sat next to me and told me he had to thank me for making "that call".  Almost 4 years ago - when my son was on house arrest - I had a friend call the school her son attended to let them know that one of their students just tried to give my son heroin.  Silly of me to think (back then) that the police wouldn't find out where the call originated from - not that it mattered. Anyway, this officer told me that "that call" was the beginning of what ended up as the biggest drug bust in our state.  Wow - I ALWAYS said that I "wish I could get those drug dealers".  Guess my dream came true.  LOL
