Worries.....why do we have them?
Hello DS ladies,
Hope everyone is having a good day and I'm enjoying reading how your journies are going. I'm so happy for all those who have gotten BFP's and hopeful to others in the midst of their cycles, expecting a great outcome!
As for me, since my BFP and my second beta, the waiting game has begun. I'm really not sure if the TWW is worse for finding out your pregnant or the TWW of waiting for the first U/S to make sure the baby is fine. I'm very happy about my BFP but I can't seem to stop worrying and feeling really down on myself because I'm scared that things can go wrong so early. I should be relishing in the fact that I got what I wanted for some reason it's overshadowed by the worry. I know that worrying is not good for the baby so I'm trying my hardest to stay positive. I'm not sure if it's IF in general that just makes me think so negatively or that it's to good to be true.
I go to therapy and I know I need to work on these feelings and worries. It's not JUST with the pregnancy, it's really with all things physical, I've been to the doctor numerous times before thinking things are wrong with my and physically made myself sick and this anxiety has been with me for a while on and off. I feel like the anxiety is now creeping up on me now and taking my joy away with "what if" thinking and it makes me angry.
I know there are no sure answers and I won't get the assurance I need right now, so the only choice I have is to have faith and be patient. I wish it was easy but it's not so I've been praying on it. DH doesn't understand why I'm worried, he thinks it's counterproductive and we got what we've wanted. I guess until I hear that little pitter patter of my baby's heartbeat, I just won't feel sure. It's still so surreal. I hope God gives me the strength to be graceful in my patience.
Just some thoughts I had to let out. Everyday is a work in progress.

I hear ya. It is an incredibly nerve racking time- unfortunately it doesn\'t go away! :-P I am 18 weeks and still hold my breath when they start an ultrasound bc I am afraid a heart beat will be gone. It is more likely everything will be fine but with our IF past, we are always in doubt. Good luck in the waiting game, like the 2ww I would just try and keep your schedule full! :) Can\'t wait for the update though! How have you been feeling?
Thank you Orriginal for your advice! This has been such a roller coaster of emotions even after the BFP, I guess I just thought as long as I got a BFP then I would be happy and not worried, boy was I wrong, I\'m more worried! LOL....I\'m feeling okay, a little tired but nothing major. Started doing my walking again go get some air and spening time with the fur babies help!
I\'m right there with you on the waiting game causing anxiety. The thing that has helped me is netflix ;) and talking to my butter bean every night. how are you feeling? Any symptoms?
Yes, I need to watch more Netflix! Not too many symptoms, light cramping and a tad bit sore boobs, nothing major just yet.
Aw sweetie! I totally get it, the anxiety is normal but try to stay in the moment and keep yourself distracted if that works best. I have been catching up on past seasons of Law and Order, just so I have something else to focus on and sort of get lost in.
Thinking of you XOXO
I totally relate. I really believe IF changes us forever- some good and some bad. The good is how much crazy love we will have for our children, and the bad is the constant worrying. I see my ob every month, and the week before each appointment there is always something that has me really worried that I might not hear a heartbeat. But, when you hear that little nugget in a couple weeks, it will be incredible :)
Lol not sure I can help I\'m 20 weeks and still look at the tp everytime I wipe expecting to see blood. Stress is bad but anxiety goes up with preggo hormones so that\'s not helping. I also try to remember that woman have babiesunder very difficult conditions in certain other countries.
You are doing all you can to make sure things will be ok. I always felt the TWW to u/s was way worst because you have so much more to lose and I\'ve been through that wait to often but we all know both can be so hard to take.
Try to keep busy, your u/s will get here.
I do the same thing! It\'s something I\'m continually working on. As for the which wait it worse, who knows, basically it is another long wait full of hopes and worries! After IF, each milestone brings a new TWW. Once I heard the heartbeat I promised to stop worrying about the baby (notice I didn\'t stay stop worrying!). Soon it gets a lot easier to do that!
Thanks ladies! This is my first rodeo so just trying to stay positive!
