Worries over upcoming FET

Just got back from the RE, where once again, CD3 looked like a crime scene. This month, AF came with a major vengeance - heavy heavy bleeding and awful cramps. Yesterday was so bad, that halfway to work, I had to turn around and go home because I was in such intense pain. I am chalking it up to my first AF after the hysteroscopy/D&C. Hoping all goes ok and we can do the FET this cycle. I'm sorta stressed out since I think 1. DH won't be able to be there for the transfer with the last few weeks of June being finals at school and 2. work is super busy and I'm not sure how much time I'll need off of work besides the actual day of the FET (forgot to ask but plan to when RE calls later with my bloodwork results). Found out there might be a possible hiccup (of course, when does anything having to do with IF go smoothly!?) in that I might not be able to take any estrace or estrogen supplements. I'm not allowed to take any estrogen (synthetic or artificial, anything other than what my body produces) since that is what caused my benign liver tumor 10 years ago. I'm going back to see my liver doctor next week to go over all of this with him. I'm sorta worried that if I can't take the estrace or any other supplements, that they will not do the transfer and then what!? But, I guess I need to take it one step at a time and hope for the best. My RE said in 85% of cases, they can do without the estrogen but we won't know if I'm one of those cases until we get closer and check my lining and bloodwork, etc.
I know I've been sorta MIA lately but I've been thinking of you all and hoping for BFPs, adoption progress, donors to come through, healing from m/c's, BFNs and any other bad news, and whatever else you are enduring. And to those with recent BFPs: congrats!!! Baby dust, baby dust, baby dust to all xoxoxo

I think they should be able to do the FET without added estrogen, since your RE is saying that 85% of the time they don\'t need it that is a good sign. Do you have someone to go with you for transfer? I am rooting for you and can\'t wait to hear more

I agree with Alana. They have never given me estrogen with a cycle even thought I was on it for 3 years before IVF. If your lining has never been an issue your probably ok and when AF is on the heavy side it probably is.
As for how long to rest. On my last IVF my RE told me that the new studies show that rest doesn\'t help your odds even on the day of transfert. Thst being said I still rested. Some won\'t give you timr off some will. Since increase blood flow is good for implantation doing nothing isn\'t really going to help but you shouldn\'t be stressed or lifting heavy things. You have to figure out if your job will be a problem or not.
I hope DH csn make it but you should go alone in my mind. I hope someone xan come with you.
I know it\'s hard but I\'m convinced you\'ll get your BFP on your first IVF. Stay strong. We are here for you.

If AF is really heavy for you, I have a feeling your body produces more than enough estrogen on its own and you wont have a lining issue. My RE said the day of transfer I did not have to lay around but I did have to take it easy and minimize going up and down stairs. But I did not need to take any time off other than transfer day. I think they are leaning more and more toward not having to be on bed rest at all, let alone the 3 days they use to do. Everything will work out. Good luck!
