Workplace uh ohs..lol

Got into work today at 8:30 and the back office had flooded! Yikes!
Apparently the spray hose that is connected to the water line has a split in it and had been leaking since yesterday? At least it hadn't flooded the whole back office and most of the stuff back there is metal piping and stuff like that for AC/Heat work. So I tried to shut off the water to it as best as I could and started sweeping water into a drain near the hot water heater. It had seeped some into the front office carpet and that is really the only thing I am trying to get dried out now is that. (10:23am)...I did tell the boss's son about it, to which he replied "You can just do it all, can't ya..lol"..I said "Well I guess so, I can put out house fires and saves shops apparently..lol"..He's a pretty good cat, but I do think his work ethic could use a little tweaking. Sometimes he don't want to go to a call early in the morning, and I know that drives his dad/my boss nuts sometimes.
If the boss tells me one more time how much he appreciates me keeping the shop clean (I'm just keeping it the way it is supposed to be kept, I keep telling him, but thank you for appreciating it) I'm gonna mess with him and say "Are you hinting at a raise??"...just to mess with him. He likes to mess with me and call me by my friend's name who used to work here (the one I took over for). I just give him the "stink eye" and ask him "What'd you just call me?" It's a pretty playful environment, and laid back as well. I don't understand why my friend hated working, well she said she hated calling customers and doing "cold calls" but didn't mind paperwork or computer work. I'm enjoying it all. I don't mind talking to customers over the phone...what are they gonna do...eat me over the phone? And nasty customers don't bother me, you have to make it personal before stuff like that bothers you, and I don't have to go home and live with any of them and none of them are my neighbors, so I don't let it phase me what so ever. Although unhappy customers DO bother me, because unhappy customers are not going to recommend a business if they are not happy with the service. And without our customers there is no business.
Can't wait for my appt with the plastic surgeon in July..It's not with the same doctor I was supposed to see originally, but I am hoping with this guy being the original doctor's colleague, that they won't be that far off in their approach to surgery on my HS sites. I just hope he's not a jack wagon like the last one I saw, wanting to talk fast and having ridiculous ideas of attaching good skin to bad. But with one of the nurses on staff having HS too, I'm hoping for good things. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I go to see my doctor on Thursday. I get to show her my two new lovely additions to the HS family. It's just amazing how these HS spots seem like infection, but when cultured there is nothing to fight. I seriously believe after all this and all the information me and my doctor have gotten that all that is in these abscesses is white blood cells that were sent out to fight something my body thought was there. Antibiotics rarely do any good, and this last round of cipro took care of the cellulitis I had at my C section scar, but did absolutely nothing to any of my HS spots. I wish I could try Humira or Remicaide but my insurance doesn't want to cover it unless I have a dx for what they were originally made for.
Ah well...keep pluggin along..what can ya do. Too hard headed to give up, I just ain't got it in me. XD
