Working Toward Peace and Joy

This quote is a driving force in more than one way for me; first: it scares me that I won't be able to do it as I know it is really important for me to accomplish if I am to survive in a healthy way, both physically and mentally, and second: when (and I will use the term when, not if) I can acknowledge this fact every morning, it would feel wrong to focus on me and not include my husband.  It is a strange and very painful paradox.
Anyone who has not experienced the loss of a loved one would respond to me this way most likely:  "Your husband would want you to be happy, it will happen, it is OK, just do it!" etc. I know this, and I intellectually understand it, but the journey takes so much effort and it is often easier just to sit and be mournful.
I can't/won't let this happen to me.  I will continue reaching out and participating in life.  I will meet new friends, and I will feel whole again with the knowledge that God wants me to be happy.
