Working on it.... Still
Life is good and I am trying my darnd'est to enjoy every minute of it. Lot's of stuff going on in my life, but gambling hasnt been one of them. At least the last two weeks. Two weeks doesnt sound like very long, but it's a start. Been trying just not to think about it. This may sound weird, but the more I concentrate on quitting, the more I think about it, and that seems to keep the thoughts in my mind.
Been keeping busy with lots of springtime chores -- mowing, trimming, planting flowers. Not just my yard, but my mom's as well. And... I got a nasty dose of poison ivy. Finished the last of my medicine today. Was weedeating by our barn tonight and got into more of it before I realized what weed I was whacking. Went home and promptly took a bleach bath. If I have more, I am going straight to the doctor and getting a shot. That stuff is wicked....
I am also studying to get my CPIM certification - lots of reading and studying. I know the general gist of it all, but there is so much terminology and formulas. Ugh...
And..... My daughter talked me into reading "Left Behind". I read Revelations first so I would have an idea for the foundation of the book. Finished the book in two evenings. I liked the book --- really made me do some thinking. There are 8 or 9 books in the series and I plan on reading them all. But I have to take my first CPIM test (I have to take 5 in all) in one month, so I'm not going to start the second book in the series until I pass the test. Easy does it, right?
Alex and I are going to Dallas the first of June -- purchased our hotel rooms from this paycheck --- wanted to get that extra money out of my checking ASAP. Booked thru Hotels.com, I think they charge you right after the transaction, not after your stay like reservations work. We are going to a wedding, shopping, watching a baseball game (Rangers vs Mariners) and going to Six Flags. Should be a fun time...
My Kasey is due in October but hasnt found out the gender yet. She's starting to get a belly, so cute!!!
Hope everyone is fighting the good fight and keeping the faith!!!
