Working my O.A. /weight loss program
I am trying to do more to work my O.A. and weight loss programs. I just went to part of an O.A. meeting and am going to be returning to another meeting in about 45 minutes. Wow, what a difference it seems to make for me to connect like that with others who are focused on recovery. I see very clearly that I need meetings. Online is good but would also like to set a goal of going to a live meeting once a week in my area. If I can just keep my agoraphobia issues in line then I could do it.
Tonight the meeting topic was the following: I pray to recognize the limitations of logic and reason; to entrust to God the problems for which I cannot figure out solutions.
This is something that I need to be doing on a daily basis. I also like what one person at the meeting was saying about how his best thinking got him here. Wow, can I ever relate to that! Yes my best thinking got me to the point of desperation on my knees and admitting defeat.
That is where MY best thinking got me-----I think that says a lot about my best thinking.
Thanks to anyone who reads this and for any comments.

I go to one live meeting a week Heidi, you are so right about the power of identifying with others who just \'\'Get us\'\' and our problems with compulsive eating. Honesty in the rooms is amazing. xx
That is so great Heidi and know that you have friends here supporting and caring about your daily life, sending you love and hugs my friend.
