Working?

Day three of the Tower Garden running independently. The monitoring and tweaking has been immenently compatible with the contractor talks and research about the building I have been visualizing as the aeroponics lab. Yesterday I bought a handful of end-of-season herbs I found in a local nursery. The sad little menagerie now sits atop the Tower Garden tank awaiting the next shock in their unfulfilled lives. My plan is to wash their roots and see how they fare in the tower.

The general concensus on the building is that it isnae worth saving. Indeed, it is a neglected little building which wasnae well constructed in the first place. We havenae found records on the building but I believe the original 12' x 20' building is older than the original portion of this house, built in 1951. Its roof is still intact beneath the newer roof which was added to cover the newer 12' x 20' construction. The first section sits on a badly cracked concrete foundation. The second section has 2" x 6" wood planks laid over dirt. Big surprise the planks are rotted, huh? The list goes on. . . The architectual kluging makes it hard to know which parts of the building are worth reforming. In the end, remodeling will mostly provide another kluge layer to the current chaos. Maybe. Sorting. . .
