Working

I had a long talk with DH this week about work and reality. I explained to him that I really cannot see that I'll be able to keep working full-time for very much longer. I was amazed at his response. I think he's finally understanding how bad it is. He said that he knows that this will cause financial hardship, but he'd rather see me healthy and deal with the hardship than to see me suffer. God be praised! Now I just need to get the doc to reach this same level of understanding. In her defense, she just wants to try to make it better before admitting defeat. I shouldn't have waited til it was this bad. Can you say stubborn?
Yesterday I worked at home b/c I just could not get to the office. The boss showed her distrust/concern in an email. Doesn't think I can make my deadlines when I'm out so much. I feel guilty not telling her what is going on, but I don't feel comfortable telling her. I don't know her very well (she's supposed to be temporary until my  original boss is actually replaced). I don't know if she would start looking for reasons to fire me before I can get this handled. The irony of it is that I got more done yesterday from home than I usually do in a full week of being in the office! If she would just trust me things could get better. But that's really a company policy, not hers. Working from home is not officially supported. I might have to beg the doc for a note to let me do it. We'll see.
For now, I'm feeling a little better. DH understands and supports me. We have a plan--such as it is--to try to move forward.
