Work van

Yesterday I sold Ron's work van. I was prepared to see it go.  I still have his truck and horse trailer.  The horses are gone.  I haven't' cleaned his closet yet, just not ready for that.  Mowing and cleaning around the barn brings on fresh pain but getting up by myself and going to bed by myself hurts worse. I think my  grief support helps but I cry every time. I don't know if that is good for the rest of the group. Once in the room it is all so real and I have to face it.  It is getting harder instead of easier.  I am not the totally mess I was at first but the pain is deeper.  Two different people showed me a "pay it forward kindness" this week. I hope that I will be able to do that for someone.  I pray to receive God's blessings and share it with others.  I think that is what these two people did for me.

Yeah, getting rid of \"stuff\" is tough. I gave away his fishing gear two weeks ago to a family with two young boys. Couldn\'t bring myself to sell it. Do the closet and stuff ... when you feel like it and not a day earlier. I still haven\'t delt with some of his clothes and have not touched his bathroom.

One thing I found comforting, I took his shirts and had a memory quilt made of them. Put it on the back of the couch so I could see it every day, whether it was cold or not. A friend did something simililar and even had some made for all of the adult children.
