Wooden Floors

The floors were started today. WE are both very excited. Hubby and I are both very happy with the white stain and they are doing a great job. We will not be able to move back into the house until Saturday. The curing process w/ wood floors is slow. They will do a stain. Then a set. They 2 more top coats. 2 sanding processes.... so it is very involved. 

I am going to have the baseboards painted and the intake vents repainted.... it just really needs a freshening up. And hubby said he was on board with helping me do it.

He reboarded the patio this weekend. And he watered the yard every day. i told him that in order to keep our OLD house up, it was going to take both of us and an effort. That we just can't let things go any more. Our house is too old and needs attention. He says he is on board and said he will go to counseling. 

I told him at this point I do not want promises, I want action. I'm tired of him throwing a fit , saying he's sorry, then going right back into the same pattern. He is willing to work for the marriage and so am I. 

I do not want this relationship to fail but some adjustments are in order for me to pull OUT of depression and being STUCK. He is stuck and he's forcing me to be stuck with him and I want OUT of the hole. 

So... even just having the house freshened up and some "change" going on there is good. Change can be very good... and changing our surroundings just a little will make us feel fresh and new as well.
