Wonderful Weekend

It has been so long that i have felt this good.  I had my kids for the entire weekend for the first time in 16 months. We had a great time.  After I picked them up on Friday night we started to unpack things from the old apartment.  I let the older two kids hang up thier poster in the living room and had them help me hang pictures. I also had them unpack their clothes and put them away as well. After dinner we watched a movie together.  Saturday morning we meet my sister and dad for coffee. We went over to my parents house after that for lunch.  I tried a bunch of dress on my youngest girl that my mother had bought for her. After that we went back to my place. My oldest girl read will the boy and I played on the Xbox. My youngest needed a nap. We went swimming afterwards and had dinner. Church first thing Sunday morning and then over to my sisters for my nephews b-day party. Then back to my place to play some more then I drove the kids home and dropped them off with thier mother. A very full weekend. The kids had a little bit of adjustment difficulties with the new place but the got comfortable fast.  I will get them again for a couple of hours on thursday and I will get to see them at church this sunday if their mother takes them. Of course I should get them again weekend after next like I did this weekend.  We already have a full weekend planned again.  It is wonderful that I have got them back. I am hopelessly broke but my family is pitching in to help.  They missed the kids too. But what matters is that the kids got to spend quality time with their dad.  I am looking forward to more weekends like this.  I get them for 30 days during summer break so that will be great.
