Wonderful Day

I had a very good day today.  I went to church, but the kids were not there.  I was not let down because I picked them up from their mother's house at noon and played with them until 4.  This is the first time since Dec of 2007 that I have had the kids to myself without the ex wife around.  The kids were more relaxed than normal.  But they were  very tight liped about what they did new years eve.  I am sure they were told not talk about it.  I often wonder what effect that will have on the kids in the long run.  Afraid to tell their Daddy about what they do.  As long as they are not harmed it is really none of my business.  As for what we did.  The kids had 2 Christmases worth of toys to play with.  I cooked lunch for them.  They were very hungry.  My 2 year old did not stop eating the entire time she was here.  She drank alot of milk to. My son and I play for about an hour on the xbox.  My oldest played on the computer for awhile as well.  All three kids dove into there things and got reaquanted with their second home.  My ex was cordial but none the less she is still bitter.  I pray for her piece.  I dont trust her and likely never will.  I will see them again at church next Sunday and get to spend more time with them on my one the following sunday.  God's will be done.

i am so excited for you and the kids. Give them time, they\'ve been drilled not to talk, and if you don\'t pressure them, you will be surprised, when you don\'t provide the same instructions, they in time will begin to wonder and when the time is right you will be surprised at what they will say. What i have found instead of asking them \"what they did\" you ask them if \"they had a good time\" you will just have restructure your way of talking to them at first so that they don\'t feel drilled and the need to be tight lipped, i know that is not your intention, but you have no idea what sorta thoughts have been planted elsewhere - so for now, just enjoy them as you did today, over time they will begin to feel more and more comfortable and you will be glad that you are taking the more relaxed road and that walk the road of \"don\'t you dare\" God\'s will WILL be done - I can\'t be more happy for you - you dont know how glad it makes me to see justice done, i see so much UNJUSTICE done that this story brings happiness to me!!! Bless you!!!!!!!
