having a hell of a day. very tired the last couple of days, i think from aggravation. the woman who adopted the "shy" himalayan has called about ten times, between her and her daughter in the two weeks she has had her. she keeps flipping around from loving the beautiful kitty to, there is something wrong with her because she is shy. how about i TOLD YOU she is shy from BEFORE you even adopted her. i can't stand this. i've caught her in half a dozen lies as well. i explained to her it was shy and she claimed to be an animal expert and knows it takes them months to improve and she has an acre and it can go outside and she can get another one if it doesn't work, so i said fine.
first she called for instructions. then she called making false accusations at the animal, like its never been around humans, it has scabs from animals (this is the one that came in with a ring of scabs on its neck that the vet said was either from getting caught in something, or worse...its a rescue) and now this idiot woman is going to traumatize her more?! her daughter, who arrived with her for the adoption accused me of being a BREEDER and her mother shushed her because its a total lie. she accuses a rescue of breeding, could she be a bigger asshole?
she also keeps getting the breed of the animal wrong, even though its the breed she "chose" and knows so much about? then she says she wants to return. then she wants to keep it and try it out. then she let it out before it could get comfortable and its hiding (no shit, that is why you start them in a small room). then she wants to return right this second? really, do i look like a store? we do this as a hobby after work. then i make an appointment for a pick up on monday or tuesday and instead she calls me saturday and says it better be this weekend or she is bringing it to the pound. this is an animal lover? its a harmless kitty that is shy, where is the emergency with that? there is none. the woman is a friggin lunatic asshole.
this is an adoption from HELL. a week ago her daughter was requesting the paperwork because she said it was a good match, even though its shy. one week later, they are harrassing me and making me feel "damaged." i call the pound to find out the admin fees i should charge her and its no longer ten and ten. its half the adoption fee or zero if the adoption fee is under a certain amount, so she should be getting ZERO. i can actually count on two hands the number of people who have asked for money from me in the nine years and 900+ adoptions we have done in rescue. does this woman have any clue how vulgar she is. i'm stunned i didn't see this coming, but some people are really good liars. even when she called the other day, she was going on about how pretty the animal is. yeah, she is. so what are you doing, how is this an emergency? i said to her, i can't believe you are doing this at all? you have an appointment for a return on monday or tuesday after work, WHY are you calling me on a weekend? she couldn't even answer me because she has no reason. she's a jackass. rot in hell jackass.
my blood pressure went up. i had to take an extra pill. i couldn't believe it. i'm having blood pressure troubles anyway lately. i am over an hour away from where she is. she says she didn't remember me telling her this. i totally hate this woman. and since when do full grown people need to bring someone with them for everything they do? boy, was that WEIRD. in broad daylight too. you have no idea how many horrible things i am praying for this person. lol. so i start thinking, should i try to leave early from up here. and its like, for WHAT? because this woman is a nutcase. its people like this that make others stop doing rescue. then she says that animals are never shy and she knows this because she is an expert.
reallllly? how many hundreds of animals have you had? i'd say about thirty percent of the animals that come in are shy. she says in her lifetime, she is 62, she has had a few animals. yup, and a "few" makes you an expert? so here we are. it is driving me nuts not to be able to do the pick up because i don't trust the woman at all. there is nothing worse than liars. and there are a lot of liars in this area. maybe everywhere, but other places cover it up better? rot in hell bitch. good thing i started doing rescue nine years ago, if it was now that i was beginning and compromising my health, i would quit. that simple. its not the animals that make people leave rescue, its the humans. amazing how many bad humans are out there. i bet you she will call again. she called twice today, and three times yesterday. who the hell ACTS like that? its too weird. then she says, SHE didn't call three times, ONE of the calls was her daughter calling. she and her daughter don't even live in the same house or part of the county. wherever you are bitch i totally hate you. the only thing that would make her worse, is if she actually brought it to a pound. what a douchebag.
before this, the day was fine, just kind of groggy. mr screwed up with the fpl again with one of the mobiles she is selling. she knew this for the passed two weeks and didn't say anything. what was she thinking. we have two people who are interested in her mobile and its hard to show it with no electric. she thinks she wants to sell the bigger one for 18,000, its a doublewide. at least her prices are realistic now. in the beginning she made no sense with her pricing.
i think our downstairs had free fpl when we had it as an empty mother in law and no one was using it. seriously. was very surprised when i checked down there and everything was on. she should have called fpl and said the mobile is vacant and leave the electric on just to show it. she says its $40 for electric over there. it makes no sense. our downstairs is $11 per month when not used and only $18 when the a/c is on in there in the summer. the mobile should be the main thing on my mind tomorrow and instead i'm dealing with this crazy bitch?
won't even get into the new foster mom with the gorgeous house on the beach, her husband is giving her hell, didn't hear from her today. can't handle more negatives right now. its amazing, i used to be able to handle everything before i had high blood pressure. good thing we don't all carry guns because situations like this, we'd all be shooting each other. amazing she isn't ashamed that she acts like this. according to mike people don't "become" like this as they get older, they were ALWAYS like this, its more noticeable later on in life, that is all.

met with the daugher and her mother. she does this ugly face thing when she starts lying. today she was lying about the kitty and her mother was saying, that\'s not true. like i need this drama. they pulled the same thing on another shelter here six years ago and she says they returned and called a zillion times.
they also return and want an animal back even when its gone. they also complain even if given money back if its a check. amazing, since the admin fee is $35 this year, so they should be getting NOTHING back. so now this becomes, how do you ban them from adopting completely. these two are nutcases.

i actually had to take a full 50mg of lopressor to deal with them instead of 25 which is my night dose because my blood pressure was going through the roof. they have also had trouble with meeting them to get an animal back and then them having the person drive even FURTHER to their home. not to smart for either person. then i ask someone else and they claim the daughter also had someone harrassed with the same name as the owner of the shelter a few years ago and got suspended from her county job for it for making false claims to animal control and tresspassing on property without cause or permission. but she still is working for the county?! she\'s an emt. super hostile people. totally gross. she\'s 24, and still has a joint checking account with her mother, what the hell is that, on both parties? and no her mother isn\'t 95 years old...the whole thing is ridiculous. they must have incredibly boring lives to be spending so much TIME harrassing people in rescue. then she tells me she took our receipt to a different local shelter for reimbursement, what is she STUPID? WHY would some other shelter give her money. my first guess would be they must be drug abusers or something and in need of cash. i have seen that, and usually in new developments and people with children. those are always a shock. if that is the case, she definitely should not be working for the county. her mother works for a grammar school - either in the office or someone else said cleaning. wth? all this, for a charitable hobby,
its the assholes like this that make people quit doing rescue. the more years i rescue, the more i understand why so many refuse to deal with anyone except me if they rescue. they\'ll say, no vets, vet techs, strangers, NO ONE. i will deal with YOU and that is all. i used to think they were being dramatic acting like that. now i get that part as well. lol.
