With The Chef in Portugal
Hello Community,
I just uploaded some pictures of Mickie and me with Chef Joe Best and his wife Ana. We were so fortunate to be able to join the Chef (very famous in Portugal) at his home and prepare meals in his kitchen.
Chef Joe and his wife, Ana, treated us like long time friends. We had a four course meal...
1. Sardines rolled in seaweed with caviar and garlic sprouts.
2. A salted cod prepared with bread/olive oil and greens. The bread and olive oil were prepared in a blender...This was a great course.
3. Thinly sliced pork cooked (sauteed) with olive oil, lots of garlic and peppers from Mozambique and Angola...This was a WOW selection.
4. For dessert we had a peanut mousse that was really good.
We had Portuguese style Sangria throughout the preparing of the meals and during the meal.....We probably had too much Sangria.
I have more pictures that I will upload later...I hope that you enjoy the pictures....
Take care,
Joe

Loved the pictures, and the sounds of that delicious meal. Was the salted cod steamed or smoked? It\'s so fantastic that you were able to meet Chef Joe Best and his wife, and enjoy a cooking and dining experience with them.
Dan
