With my Granddaughter
I had trouble deciding on a theme for this journal entry. For a change I feel a little bit positive but probably more reflective. I am with my granddaughter and her dad. We had a pleasant evening. I did not lose my temper with my son-in-law and that is a definite positive!!
However all is not rosy. I guess at my age, friends and relatives are not a spry as they used to be. My dear friend's husband was admitted to the hospital. He has been ill on and off since he had a fungal sinus infection that almost killed him. He has now become fixated on my friend and gets agitated and anxious when she leaves. I would like to be with her too. I feel pulled in several directions as they live halfway between Ottawa and Calgary! My son is struggling with depression and worry as our daughter-in-law is having surgery on the 5th of Nov. After losing Lisa after surgery, we are all quite anxious.
But for today, the flight was smooth, the weather was sunny and I feel more comfortable in the home my daughter loved and swore she would never leave.

Dear Marlene, I\'m happy to hear you had a good visit with your granddaughter and that your SIL and you had a positive visit. Prayers for your friend and DIL. Beginning to feel comfortable once again at home and in our own skin is a big step and aha moment for many of us. I\'m glad that you are beginning to feel that and sending positive thoughts your way and to the family for the best possible outcome. Life always has all its parts, doesn\'t it and it\'s our perceptions that color how we view them all. Glad to hear that some of it is rosy. Thank you for sharing how you are feeling. Take care.
