Wishing my Sailor were here....

Well, I've now made it thru one month (give or take) of this deployment and at this point I'm not sure how I'm feeling about things.  One thing is for sure, I miss my husband like crazy and now it's been nearly 16 days since I heard from him.  I know it's because right now they aren't allowed to communicate with us but that's all they tell us...and they never tell us for how long this could last.  At first it was only supposed to be a few days....
On a good note, the doctors have taken me off the evil Lactulose!  Well...for now at least I get a break from it :)  My GI doc says there's no reason the same thing can't be accomplished with just the Xifaxan at this point.   If I start to have problems I may have to go back on the Lactulose again but I'm not going to get ahead of myself.  For now I'm liking the fact that I'm not going to bed all bloated (well not as much as before) and not having horrible stomach aches.
So I take the good with the bad I guess.  I write to my husband everyday and send a weeks' worth of writing every Tuesday and so far he has gotten two care packages and I'm getting ready to send another one after the 1st of October.  Gee, who knew he could want so much in a month LOL  I certainly hope that when he's allowed to e-mail me again that he has something more to say other than just two sentences about how crappy his days are.  I realized it's no vacation for him but really, that's all he was writing and I had told him before we left that we needed to be able to communicate.  It's no problem for me but he just never seems to think about how much I need to read more than "well another crazy day and I'm tired so I'm gonna hit my rack."  And sometimes that's all I got from him all day.  I hate to complain but well, it bugs me.
So another day and I have to find a way to deal with my lonliness.  I stay busy and I work out and I do as much as I can to fill my day but later, I know it for sure, I'll start missing him.  Maybe that's normal...I certainly think it is.  I often tell him in my letters that I could have 100 friends and 3 jobs and be busy ever second of every day but I would still miss him.  He doesn't get that and thinks that if I just stay busy enough him being gone won't matter.   Hmmm...the male brain is a curious thing...I don't want to get inside there, I might be too scared LOL
Hugs and prayers and God bless...
