Wishful thinking
I thought things would work out for us when we got rid of crappy landlord. I guess it's just not meant to be for us to have any happiness.
My new landlord has found out through Vancouver Housing that the rent can be a thousand dollars a month but even with housing paying a small portion of the rent I cannot afford what my share would be. I wasn't even sure how we would make it when the rent went up to $900.00 a month.
Nothing like ruining my New Year's Eve as this is when the landlord told me about the letter they received from Housing. I guess now we have to start looking again and putting my feral kitties down.

what portion do they pay? we are looking into making the house by the woods a section 8 and wondering how that works.
sorry your house didn\'t work out. its cheaper to buy right now. you would qualify for a house that is 3 times whatever you make in one year or what two of you make combined. have you looked at Zillow.com? its an easy way to see what is for sale in your area. you need 3% down. if a bank says no, you go to a mortgage BROKER and they do all the work of finding financing for you. there are also verrrrrry cheap mobile homes with full amenities like swimming pool in many areas and people love those. just ideas.
