Wish Me Luck
Tomorrow I am speaking at a Relay for Life function. Me, the Shyness Poster Girl! Just one more thing I miss about my husband's presence in my life. He understood my nature, he was my strength. The Relay people asked for him to speak and when I let them know of the situation they asked me to speak in his place. Ordinarily I wouldn't agree except if we did it together, but Relay was so important to Russ I knew I had to do it, in his place, in his honor. Please say a prayer that I make him proud, that I do his memory justice, and that I inspire those that hear me to remember those fighting cancer, those surviving cancer, and those who have left this world but not our hearts.

You are speaking in his name and in his honor. I am certain that you won\'t have the same level of stage fright at all because you\'ll believe so passionately in what you\'re doing. Good luck - you are the best witness to all these things that they could possibly want speaking to them.
He\'ll be listening in and will be so proud of you.

I Did It! No stammering, no fainting. It helped that it was during the luminary part of the event and the lights were out so no one saw my tears. I was inspired by my strong desire to \"make him proud.\" Thank you so much for your positive thoughts.
