Wisdom Teeth Removal Gone WRONG (Check my photos for pictures)

I have had seven surgeries. I have had my tonsils out, I have had five open ear surgeries, I have been in hospitals for liver failure and heart problems and severe pneumonia. I have had 8 teeth pulled and a cavity filled.
I have never, EVER had such a traumatic medical experience.
I got there and was already nervous. My generalized anxiety disorder has been BAD lately, as have been my obsessive thoughts and compulsions. The dentists were incredibly kind and understanding and professional, but it just went downhill fast. I could FEEL the needle going in to numb, feel the pinch and the poke and the sting and the puncture. It went into my mouth probably about 10 or so times.
By this point I was crying and feeling scared, so they gave me laughing gas.
Bad, BAD idea.
I had the worst reaction they have seen. I was having serious convulsions, shaking so bad I was in the air and falling off the chair. I couldn’t breathe at ALL, I heard screaming and swearing and someone yelling “NOOOO!” and I didn’t realize until later that it was me. They took the gas off and gave me oxygen instead.
Then something went wrong and I swallowed my tooth.
I was not flailing or convulsing at this point, it just went wrong. I coughed up blood and had a full blown panic attack, screaming “I FUCKING SWALLOWED IT!” It was sharp going down, it was PAINFUL, there was blood all over my shirt and lap as I coughed and sputtered. I have to get a chest x-ray shortly, I am breathing fine now.
After it was done I felt so exhausted I could barely move. I had my normal breakfast but all I had today was some yogurt, two slices of lite bread w/ a little hummus, and a few bites of cake (hey's it's my crap day!!!) Might try a plain skinless baked potato for dinner.
ON TOP of all this, anxieties about food are surfacing again. Terrified of gaining weight, but trying to incorporate fear foods into daily diet in moderate portions w/ exercising has shown no weight gain, which is good. The weight I gained last summer was some serious emotional eating, so I need to realize it's not the foods, just the amounts and how frequently I'm eating during the day and listening to hunger cues.
Having a cookie dough blizzard tonight (haven't had one in a year!)and going out for breakfast tomorrow (planning on a pancake, splitting home fries and muffin with Dad...haven't had these foods in months! Excited to try eating them but also scared!) then having a lighter lunch and dinner and going for my power walk.
Still in pain tonight though.

Oh dear, what a traumatising experience you have just been through! I\'m glad you\'re ok now! That would scare the shit out of me! It is the quantity that Wud have put on weight moderation is the key.

Holey Shit Meggers! Sounds like you had your teeth removed by The Three Stooges. I can see why an experience like that could cause your food anxiety to return. But this is temporary and you will get back on track.

Enjoy your power walk!
