Winterthur
Hi All,
I went last Sat with my meet up group to Winterthur, it's a Dupont property in Northern Delaware. I had never been there before. It was awesome. 175 rooms, you don't get to see them all, of course. But you do get to see plenty on the general tour and then we had 2 options to see other floors or go on a mystery tour guide's choice tour. That one the tour guide shows you some of their fave areas of the house. You don't know ahead of time where you will go. We got a great young woman, she is passionate about her job at a tour guide. She took us to some places that were GREAT.
I saw a little big of the garden, the tickets were good for 2 days, but it's quite a drive away so no chance I could come back the next day. I would like to have explored the gardens more. We did get to see some of it on the tram ride from the visitor's center to the house.
A place I'd love to stay in and read and chill
