Winter Worries!
Dear Fellow Travelers,
It has been ages since I last made an entry in My Journal and not because nothing has happened.
It is winter here in Sydney and the populace are freezing, no snow or black frost, just cold mornings and even colder afternoons and evenings. I don't feel the cold, I have an internal combustion stove blazing away on high. I run around mainly in summer clothes much to the horror of my partner and friends. In winter in Sydney one can feel human.
Well that is the weather forecast for Sydney.
As with the rest of my life, things are going well. My worries are easy enough to deal with; really I don't have any worries. Since giving up the evil smokes and feeling excellent for that simple act.
Now my wealth contributes to the correction of the 'GFC', yes I support amazon.com.uk and amazon.com, and keep the postal services from England and America in business. When will the bring back free post? When I am not spending my money on amazon there is always the IKEA store; don't cough and shake your collective heads and glance at the Vogue magazine on your Wall-mart or Tesco coffee table
You see I have redesigned my lounge/living/ reception room in to an elegant salon. A salon where one is able to relax and fall asleep easily while not watching the crap on the idiot box. What is with all those bloody reality shows? Both my American and British friends should hang their heads' in shame; I know you can do better than 'Snog, Marry, Avoid' or 'Pawn Stars' the responsible ones will know.
I feel guilty that I don't have a major problem to have one and sundry offer help with; I just don't. Still we can chat and learn how my limited group of friends are going.
Friends they were once thick on the ground, but now they are very thin on the ground. It is strange when you reach a certain age friends have the unsavory habit of becoming ill and dying. Then there are old dears like myself and we just keep on going on and trust me we are happy.
I still have a good head of hair, the waist is getting smaller and the weight is under control, but still I am not fit enough to wear a pair of red speedos. Then again summer is four months away and I do believe in miracles.
So life continues on and I am happy to say that I enjoy living. What I don't enjoy is getting old, yes getting old. You see my distant and near fellow travelers things happen, all the working bits begin not to work and bits you never laid sight on before become vaguely interesting. Consult an anatomy book and see what I am talking about ( or is that raving on ) Yes this is the unfortunate price we pay when we enter the twilight zone; old and invisible, but never silent.
Well that is the end of this little journal entery.
