Winter ramblings

Brrr, It is verrrrry cold out tonight. I am so glad that I can just stay inside. It is so much more cozy when the weather is frigid and you don't have to go out in it, don't you think?  I almost had to face the elements though. The batteries on my universal remote were worn out. That would be catastrophic!!  Now I may be able to do without some things ,like bread and milk ...but life without my clicker? Unthinkable!! That is one thing for which I would gladly brave the artic front,( or send my son).  Fortunately I found some replacement batteries in the pantry.  Crisis averted. On another topic, I had a little good news/bad news situation today . The good news is that I received my doctor's statement for renewing my disability placard. (for some reason, I'm always a little nervous that the doc will think I'm faking it...and more nervous that he won't.   Of course if he did, then that would be really good news. Then all I would have to do is snap out of it. )  The bad news is that the doc put me in for a "permanent" disability placard. That messed with my mind a bit. When it was a temporary disability placard I still had a little wiggle room for denial.  Ahhhh,what am I worried about? By tomorrow I'll forget all about this! (Thank goodness for my short attention span!) Besides, the new batteries have my remote working just fine. So let it be cold outside, I'm fine where I'm at. Stay warm... and happy clicking,Tom
