The national debt has me a little bit more than worried. If Congress cannot come to an agreement, those of us on government assistance will not be paid for the month of August. I don't know about you, but I need my money in order to just survive. Congress is acting as though everyone has money to spare. It's not like we are upper middle class and own a boat we could sell. It is said that Pres. Obama walked out on Congress yesterday. I guess he doesn't have to worry about eating or paying his electric bill. But he does have the power to fix the situation. By raising the ceiling on the national debt.

They act like we have something to sell or like we have a years salary hidden under the bed for a rainy day or something. I do think there are people out there who really really really can\'t afford their next meal. Its a sad situation for this entire country.
I\'m really worried as well. My son and I live on SSI and social security. But I watched the president on a website that I streamed it from. He says he\'s not gonna touch or mess with social security or veteran\'s benefits, but we\'ll see if he keeps his word.....All I can do is pray I guess
