Wild Kingdom

The day is starting much as yesterday ended. I'm still feeling fairly terrific. I still get up at odd hours of the night but ,compared to how things had been, that's not a problem. I have been up for some time and ,again, my only company at these odd hours is the cat. Every time I move she accompanies me on the off chance that I might be headed to her food dish. (She is such an optimist) Once she determined that an extra meal was not in her immediate future , she returned to her main occupation of marathon napping .While sleeping she somehow is still able to exude her disapproval of the world in general. Not a small feat when conscious ..but she does it effortlessly even while asleep. I did see her stir a bit after about 45 minutes. Her eyes were riveted on activities in our back yard. It seems the neighborhood rabbits were out there for breakfast. This outrage infuriated her. She crouched low, worked her haunches a bit, and gave the rabbits the most scathing glare you could imagine. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but the rabbits moved on. The cat, satisfied that her work was done, settled back down for yet another  well deserved nap. As you can probably tell, I am suffering from a bit of cabin fever. I do feel good but I'm still nervous about going out into the heat and humidity yet. I don't want to risk any setbacks. So for now, it's me and the cat...and the occasional excitement of the wild kingdom in my backyard. Be well,Tom
