Wife's neck injections

My wife went in for neck injections yesterday. She hasn't had an issue with her neck before, but she has some arthritis in it. After the wreck, she's experienced pain and will need surgery. The x-ray is obvious. I will share it here later today.

I am sorry to hear that, fisherman. Neck pain is horrible.

I know this is a lot of stress in your life right now. Just hang in there, do deep breathing (in for count of 4, hold for count of 4, exhale through mouth count of 4 - puff if you are alone). Deep breathing really calms my brain down now that I have been "practicing" for several years.

I was having weird nerve like hand and wrist pain extremely distressing and painful. Both sides. Couldn't figure it out but finally realized my neck and shoulders were killing me as well. I tried one of those small salonpas patches from the drugstore and the wrist and hand nerve pain stopped. I have gotten MRIs in the past but just didn't want to pursue my own situation with yet another doctor. Your wife needs to keep going with the medical stuff though. Her case is very serious it sounds like. Prayers for her and for your.

If she has to have surgery, make sure she gets a second opinion. My father went through something similar.

I'm not stressing too much but I am strong. I do have to help her with chores and things she can't do but it's good on my end. She's afraid to have surgery but that's understandable.

She has a good medical team at TOC. She has been there for her back which was at the point of normal for her age before the accident.
