Wife Passes Away
My wife passed away this afternoon. She fought the battle with cancer for almost 3 years. We were married almost 52 years and have been together for almost 54 years. I will miss her terribly but, the Lord gives me comfort so, I am ok.

I am sorry for your very deep loss. There are no words to bring comfort to the hurting heart when you lose your spouse, but your faith in GOD will carry you. I went through the griefshare.org program three years to have others to share my journey, who were also experiencing grief. Your wife fought a good fight and she is resting now.

I did her funeral Tuesday June 2. 2026. It was the largest funeral and hardest funeral I have done in 51 yrs., in the Ministry. She fought cancer almost 4 years. She did it with grace and dignity. I sat beside her bed when the Lord took her home. My church was so full, we had to set folding chairs to seat all the attendees. We were married almost 52 yrs.
Been together for almost 54 yrs. She was a beautiful woman. She was my church pianist for 3 churches I have pastored. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". Now, it's just me and my little dog.

It's clear that your wife was deeply loved, not only by you but by everyone whose lives she touched. Fifty-four years together is a remarkable gift. I can only imagine how hard it must be without her beside you every day. I'm praying for you. Hugs.
