why? selfishness or what?

My wife knows I take 5 meds for high blood pressure and circulation problems.  She knows I make every effort to reduce my intake of cholesterol.  In fact, just this morning we went out to breakfast and I had an egg-white omelette.  I insist on egg whites or egg beaters whenever possible. She knows that.
So at dinner time today I just happened to go into the kitchen and she's supervising our granddaughter making cornbread.  And in the mix is two eggs, yolks and all, not egg beaters that we have in the refrigerator.  I can't believe that she can tell the difference in taste and that it matters that much.
Just last week a relative of mine who is younger than me had a quadruple bypass.
It's hard to believe she's that selfish and doesn't care.
