Why I am here.
I am a liar. I lie to get attention, I lie to make me seem a better, bigger, softer, kinder, more victimized person. I do it for attention. I do it to hide the real me. I do it because I got good at it. I was able to tell bigger and bigger lies. I used to love it, the challenge, the research, the pay off. I even liked it when I was confronted. The thrill of convincing a critic.
Part of me still loves it but now, not all of me and the part that does is getting smaller but louder.
Something changed. I have a fiance, they are nice, wonderful, horrible and cruel and amazing and lazy and all the good and bad rolled into one. They aren't the reason it changed but they are my motivation to keep trying. I told this one the truth. The real truth. I told them I had been lieing to them since day one. Nothing I told them of my past was true, my health, my dreams and likes and dislikes. All the lies I had told I confessed to them.
They didn't believe me.
That is what changed. I became so good at convincing people my lies where true that when I tell the actual real truth it comes out like a lie. I tried so much to convince them that this was true. I wanted them to see the real me. Now I don't know what to do, I have never had to get over an addiction before, I don't smoke, drink or do drugs.
Lieing is my addiction and I need help.
