Why does expressing anger gets beyond our control?
The mistrust in the family (2 brothers and 2 sisters living with our mother) is not dissolved as yet. My prior service in the prejuced and under paid Pakistan National Guards makes them think that I am a useless man. Even our 20 years old sister does not seem to respect me. 2 days earlier I just burst out on her as she wanted me to leave the room where our mother was sitting and I just went to talk to our mother. Our sister has a habit of studying while sitting right among others. I got mad at her as it is like 2 years after my release from the army and I am facing such a behaviour from them. I called her names twice or thrice. And then felt like crying for doing this. She was the one whom I had carried in my lap when she was a child. I may never forgive myself for saying these things to her.

Saqib, we\'ve talked about forgiving ourselves and we\'ve talked about how we do and say things we don\'t mean when we are upset. Apologize to your sister and tell her how you feel. Then, forgive yourself. There will always be squabbles from time to time among loved ones. It\'s called being human. I\'m with you honey.
Hi there!
I can joint the club \" loosing my temper and saying out things that I can\'t take back\" I think it\'s great progress that you reconize that in yourself because most people don\'t. After all, we are the work in progress....If you really want your sister to feel better, I think you could alwasy mention to her, that you really did not mean what you said. That way you won\'t help the build the freezing wall between you and her. As she is so young she most likely won\'t understand your frustruation and what you have gone through...
hey shotter, first think about respect, we can\'t make someone respect us we must earn it just as we require someone to earn our repect. now the hard part, how does that happen??? it can only be by hoe we preaent our selves around others,(no respect given none is,
Well, thanks for reading and suggesting ways to melt the FREEZE between us. I realize I was wrong in suddenly jumping to the climax and taking it out which she was wrong in visualizing about respecting me. Since the last 2 weeks I had been enlarging a colored map for her. I have helped her in her projects since she was a child. I am sorry if I can not give her pocket money now. Our younger brother does that for her. I do for her whatever little I can. Well, I tore away the sketch of the map prepared for her in anger too. I wanted to make her realize that I still do things for you. That was even mean of me. I am not feeling good about it. Mark is right. I should understand her perspective of RESPECT too. I will talk to her for asking an apology. It seems very difficult for now though.
Sometimes we get angry and say and do things that we don\'t mean........try not to be too hard on yourself....
Many human virtues like being NICE (as you \'label\' me in your hug) are conditional. Almost all of them seem to be \'watered\' by love. Last night I \'erupted\' with my mother over conveying a marriage proposal to the girl\'s family as is the custom here. Till this day in my life my family seemed to have been thinking about themselves only. I had been rebellious with her. So if you see my habit to publicly confess always about my bad attitude as BEING NICE, then ...! We should think hard about it I guess. Thanks for reading my journal. You made my day with your love and kiss. I will jog better in the track this evening and may be smoke less. Thank you very much. I wonder my work will be added about reading my friends\' journals for now I will have to read yours.
