Why am I such a wimp???
I have to have a shot twice per month and my ex use to give it to me. It was easy for her to take out her frustrations when stabbing me with that 2 inch needle. It didn't hurt very much but I use to lie to her and tell her it hurt wicked bad and she seemed to find great joy in that lol. It would amuse me.
I have the syringe all ready to go and have been trying all day to self administer it but I can't do it. I don't know why but I cant no matter how much I try. It's a butt shot btw. I am overdo for this and I can tell by the way I feel.
My back is killing me today and ibprofen doesn't seem to be helping, but I think I will take the day off work to rest it. Part of reason why I need shot, among others. I will try to jog a couple of miles before dark because we have a big storm coming and I may not be able to go for a few days. I had been running pretty steady, 5 days in a row now, pretty good for an old man.

bob the butt shot needs to go just in the right spot because there is a nerve in the glutius that can be hit....I would start going to the doctor for the shot if you have insurance...if not then you need your wife to do it...hitting the nerve yourself could be really bad...I know because I took the beginning courses of nursing school and that was one of those things we learned from the get go on butt shots....good luck buddy!

KR yes I am all ready for the storm, Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow lol, doesn\'t really bother me. Thankyou Billy, yes I know about the nerve and where to put the needle. I actually learned from my exwife who learned from an RN.
Thankyou Julie, I finally did it. Left the needle on the counter all day and eventually got tired of looking at it.

Good you finally were able to give yourself the shot! I use to take an MS medication once a week through a shot. The needle was about 2 inches long, and very thick. It was painful and yes, I would have someone else give me the shot because like you, I just couldn\'t do it. I understand your apprehension.
Take care during the storm. I hope you don\'t lose power or your pipes freeze up. Somewhere I heard to leave water running and your pipes won\'t freeze up. That would be fine if you don\'t have well water, but what do you do if you are on well? Don\'t know if it really works anyhoooo. Hope your run was one that would keep you satisfied for a couple of days. I cannot imagine running in the snow!
Thanks ICH My well only produces 2.5 gallons per minute so I have to be careful when I run water but yes, letting it drip works quite well, moving water doesn\'t freeze. I may try to do a couple of miles before the end of the day, even though it is snowing.
Going to list on ebay for the next hour then drink some coffee and go.
The stuff I inject is very thick also so I draw with an 18 guage needle, then I unscrew the needle and swap it with a thinner 25 guage and that works quite well, it comes out slow so just have to have patience, thats all.
