Why am I here?
I don't feel well today my medicine(effexor) worked O.K. in the past. Now I feel kind of nausous. I spent 5 days at my moms. She was sobbing loudly for days because of the unexpected death of her sister.(aneurism) I have terrible anxiety dealing with big groups of people. It was very hard to be at the wake and memorial service. I just tried to be supportive for my mother. My brother and sister don't bother with my mother. Her husband was very physically abusive to her. My siblings still hold a grudge against her even though he has been dead for now for over 16 yrs. I use to be able to function O.K. I have not done well now for about the last 8 yrs. I've worked in a few warehouses which was hard. It was hard physically, but also dealing with people was so frustrating. I suffer from post nasal drip and recurrent sinus infections. The doctors never seem to help. I've taken antibiotics, but it always comes right back, nasal sprays from the doctor, saline rinse everyday. And nothing works. I'm a very sedentary person. Maybe if I force myself to exercise(which I hate) it may help.

Dear Lee, thanks for the hug. I used Effexor for a very long time, then it quit working. Now I\'m taking Pristiq. I\'m doing a little better. I\'m sorry to hear of the death of your Mother\'s sister. How wonderful that you were there for her. I have social anxiety. It would have been very difficult for me to have attended the wake and service. I haven\'t been able to force myself to exercise in a very long time. I have got to make myself. I weigh too much and don\'t feel as well. I\'m at odds with my parents right now and am not dating. I feel lonely. I can identify with your situation. I do hope your dating continue to goes well. Have a good weekend. Rhonda
dear rhonda and lee,
it is good that you both are able to share it. i used to be afraid to even acknowledge that i dont feel well and up to it. people and self help books tell me that its a state of mind. so i tried being mindful of how i feel and think. as soon as i realise that i am spiraling down with ruminating thoughts, i distract myself with more positive thoughts and try to visualise cheerful images.
i too am on effexor. my dose has gone up and i cope better. what i did to alter my state of thought takes some practice. it helps except on days when i have no energy to think, as i suffer from fibromyalgia with brain fog from time to time.
try it and i do hope you well. God bless.
