Whoopee! I won the birthday drawing !!!
Once a month our building has a birthday party. All of the residents may attend. They read all the birthday people for that month. I was December 19. Then they have a drawing that only the birthday folks are eligible to win. And you need to be present in order to win.
This is my SIXTH birthday here, and I have never won. Yesterday before I went I concentrated on the thought, IT IS TIME FOR ME TO WIN. I WANT TO WIN.
When they picked out the first name, that lady was not in attendance, so she was disqualified. As they went to pick out the second name, I said to myself, PICK ME PICK ME JUDY S.
And guess what? I WON. The prize was a $20 gift card at Wal-Mart. My sister and I will run over there someday and get something nice.
So the birthday fairy finally blessed me!
