WHO'S RESPONSIBILITY IS IT TO UNDERSTAND HOW THE MEDS WORK FOR YOU?

I feel great.I've been on zyprexa ever since i was 18 and diagnosed with schizophrenia.Always lacked energy.Slept 12 hours per day.Could'nt hold a job.The zyprexa made the negative symptoms(lessening the normal capacities of brain function)always present.I just started taking risperidone and i feel like a brand new person.I am able to balance the negative symptoms with the zyprexa,and the positive symptoms with the risperidone.If someone had only told me when i was 18 that it was my responsibility to understand how the meds act on me and  to respond accordingly my life would have been a lot different these past fifteen years.You don't just listen to the doctors and expect them to know what will work for you.
