white blood count is up !! yea
So finally my white count is up, they had pushed my chemo back 3 weeks to wait for count to go up, and it did. So today, Wed, I got my chemo (7 1/2 hours), tomorrow just 3 hours and I wear a pump drip home both nights and they remove it on Fri when drip is finished. So this is finally my 3rd treatment, after this just 9 to go. yea !!!!

Did they reduce the dosage GG? I sure hope so! I sure wish you didn\'t have such long days! Wonder why it\'s so different for us.... I\'m hooked up only 2 hours to chemo plus the fanny pack. That\'s so much easier than going three days in a row.
Hope this dose doesn\'t make you feel as bad!

Hey Diane, They say that a slower drip is better for side effects, won\'t be as bad. Well that didn\'t prove true for my first chemo\'s cause had side effects throughout the 2 week period. Although if I had a fast drip side effects could have been worse, who knows !!! So I am getting 75 % of what I got the first 2 treatments. I feel pretty good today as I go to my Thur treatment. The dosage is reduced so you think the time would be reduced, oh no, they just add more salene solution so the drip takes just a long. Bummer. The pump is the same thing still 22 hours. Do you get the same drugs as I do. ?? On Wed I get Oxaliplatin (eloxatin) and Leucovorin and go home with pump 5-FU, Then on Thur just Leucovorin and the 5-Fu pump which is removed on Fri. ???? Yeah I pretty much hate going in for 3 days, my drive is about 30-40 minutes, traffic in Orange County Ca can be bad. My hubby drives me cause I usually am too dizzy or weak to drive. So he has to take off work (he\'s a sub teacher so it\'s not too bad for him). What is happening to your hair ??? I\'ve lost about 3/4 of mine, when I go out to walk or to Dr. or chemo, I wear a scarf, hat thingie. My hubby says I should get a wig. If your chemo is not as bad as mine you might be keeping your hair or most of it anyway. Take care and if you would I would love to know what your \"cocktail\" is. gg
