whining
o my, another week. this month is too full. music open houses, shouldn't take a lot of extra preparation, but they do. Parents come and participate in children's music class. And it's extra energy from me, because it's a bigger performance than what I do normally for a music class. I'm tired. my next day off comes in April, and I've got three of 'em in a row. I want to leave town... be somewhere else and just not have to think too much. Air, I need air. Looking forward to summer. Been thinking a lot about retirement. Can't for another 15 years, and by then will I be able to enjoy it? And doing the age thing again, what does it mean to reach my half-century (coming up next month)... what do I expect to do with the next 20 - 30 years... going to bed. world looks better after enough sleep, which I'm not getting enough of. Glad I didn't put this off any longer (going to massage therapy school).

You don\'t mean whining, you mean winning. Remember that there\'s a pay off for this hard work--and I don\'t mean that teaching salary. You enjoy the music classes. Just try not to enjoy yourself so much that the accompanying work kills you. Leaving for a little mini-vacation, say with hubby, sounds great! Just what you need, even if it\'s only to hike that mountain again.
And no Existentialism before bedtime, it\'s worse than caffine!
I agree with Wendy... and I don\'t believe in a mid life crisis I think you are just living your life and it happens to be right in the middle of it. Sending you moments of peace to take deep breaths and to ground yourself in the knowledge that summer is a few short months away. Why not plan a three day get away with your boy in April.... nowhere fancy just where there are no phones, no computers and no worries.... HUGE CYBER HUGS.
You two are the best! Thanks! And yes, the world DOES look a lot better after a full night\'s sleep. First round of open houses went well, they are fun (I LOVE watching adults trying to keep up with their kids in class).
no existentialism before bedtime - I may have to put a sign up in the bedroom!
no phones, computers, textbooks... sounds GOOD! we\'ll figure something out, I hope!
hug :)
two days of open houses done - big assembly tomorrow, then two more half days of open houses. no tests in anatomy or massage this week, thank goodness. a little less pressure after this week, a little more first weekend in April. Then just two more weeks to April vacation and a bit of breathing room. I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can...
