Whew - Better times

So Missy's vertigo isn't from the brain tumor. Yeah! It MAY be from a virus (please god, please). In fact, I've had a wicked flu/cold for a few months. I'm hoping I gave her a cold! Or it may be her uterine cancer has traveled and landed in her ear. I don't want that curtain, please!!
Still, I don't have to rush down there. For now, things are ok. I'll be flying back down in Nov. I'm incredibly grateful that she's stable enough to be alone for now. And selfishly, grateful that I'll have a few weeks to rest and regain my strength (please).
The last few days have been wonderful here on Cape Cod. I just love the crisp fall smell. And I love the misty rain - again the smell but also the pitter of raindrops. It comforts me. I think I feel like since it's raining, I can't work outside so it's a day off or something. I just love the rain! And the leaves are starting to turn as well so it's gorgeous.
My puppy (well, ok, dog) Wyn also loves the cooler weather. Once I get over the worst of this cold thing, we're going for a walk (shhh can't say that too loud - she knows the word!) in the woods. Good things are coming!

Yeah, some good news..don,t you wish you had a jar you could reach in and pull out a fraction of good news, to make those days when things are bleak look a little brighter. I am so happy for for you and your sister.
Fall and Halloween are fun times around our home. My grandson who is 5 LOVES pumpkins and ghosts, so my house is ready for Fall and Monday we were supposed to put the Halloween decorations out.We have many fun items the kids love.
How lucky you are to live on Cape Cod..still waiting for our first rain. It finally is cooling down this weekend. Rain makes me feel like everything will be fresh & renewed.. And somehow it make me feel good..I know it depresses some people, but not me.
Lots of prayers of good thoughts for you and your sister.
