Where To Begin - Me Update & Blossom Update

Boy I don't know where to begin here so if I start rambling bear with me.
The trip.  It was good and not so good.  As far as the Celiac convention, there were a few speakers really worth listening to & good advice was indeed available.  Two in particular-one was a Naturopath Dr who spoke on them complimenting a medical dr & not working against them.  Example, when a Celiac is diagnosed, is on a gluten free diet & as time goes on is just not feeling better.   A naturopath can then come in & look more behind the scenes, analyze everything else in in the person as medical drs alot of times today just don't have that time.  The naturopath can then discuss changes that someone can if they want impliment in their lifes to help things.  It really got me thinking & I can't get it out of my head that this whole blanket type rash thing & itch I'm still having, well, maybe it's time to check in with my naturopath.  I haven't seen him for abt 3 yrs now & he always had time just to sit & talk & review the whole big picture.  What do you all think, love to hear your thoughts on this.
I did find out that the trip was super extremely hard on me in the big picture.  I think as long as you keep going & your whole system is in drive then you're fine & my world sort of toppled a bit on the return trip home.  We left Kelowna late afternoon & were stopping over in Calgary for an hr & a half to change planes.  I was fine I thought until we got into Calgary.  Boy did something hit me.  I threw up twice & then my blood sugar went low.  The only problem was I knew 100% that I couldn't keep anything down.  BIG PROBLEM HERE folks.  We went to out next departure gate & I tried to see if anyone maybe had some gravol or whatever.  The girl there said she'd call a customer service rep for me.  She came & I had in the mean time laid down on a bench.  The airport med person came to talk to me & then two police officers were there, don't know where they came from.  Now here's the sort of good part.  They decided to call the EMT's.  They got there fast & came to look after me right away.  Ladies!!!! one of them was drop dead gorgeous with eyes that could melt the North Pole.   LOL, don't ask me why I noticed this but hey maybe it's the uniform.  Or that & the fact that he was just so attentive.  We're allowed to look I think.  Anywho, they took me to an urgent care facility.  They just had to IV stabilize me & gave me an antinausea drip also.  I had him to myself in the back of the ambulance & at one point he was inquiring abt the nausea.  He was leaning over across me to get something & was saying don't throw up on me then he looked down at me & laughed & said no hon if you need to throw up you go right ahead.  LOL.  So we stayed that night in Calgary & came home Monday morning.  WestJet Airlines paid for everything & they were very attentive.  The dr that attended to me after alot of questioning told me that by Sunday p.m. it really does appear that the lupus was just not too politely saying "Lady, thats it, I quit, I'm breaking down, forget this, etc. etc.  Talk abt it being a party pooper.
But alas I'm sort of quite well.  Blanket rash be gone I say.  if it thinks I'm stopping my life then it's got another thing coming so there.  On a diff note though I'm still being nagged to call my naturopath for a visit.
Now something everyone wants an update on - my darling Blossom.
They didn't put her to sleep which was recommended.  She's back at the shelter & is in a kennel now in a diff room.  Being feral no one seems to want to have much to do with her.  Her kennel needed cleaning & the Wed a.m. person said she wouldn't do it so my partner & I did.  Deanna sat down with Blossom wrapped in a blanket on her knee.  I cleaned her kennel, fresh blankets, water, dry food.  We mixed a bowl of real creamy deluxe canned cat food to mix her meds in & got her all comfortable again.  The kenne's are large & there's a small top shelf they can go on to sleep.  I was told that she wasn't able to get up there.  I spent alot of time in front of her kennel with the door open & I just had my hand on her petting her & talking softly to her.  She was confused at first when she saw me & Deanna but all of a sudden it's like she looked & said oh auntie Pat & auntie Deanna I'm so happy to see you.  She'd talk to me as I was petting her.  We gave her an extra treat of cat treats & tuna.  She ate everything we gave her.   She is on very heavy duty meds which like us can have side affects for the rest of the body & I don't know if I'm comfortable with their decisions.  But for some strange reason Blossom has so bonded with us.  She's been feral all her life & no one really gives her the time of day.  So maybe our Lord feels that we are meant to have this connection together.  Maybe she's meant to help my health too.   It bothers me that I'm only there once a week & it's funny cause my hubby brought up the same thing in the car on the way home.  So we decided that when we're or I'm running errands or he's having coffee with his nephew who lives near there I'm going to go & spend time with Blossom when I can.  I went to her kennel when it was time to go.  She had got up on that top shelf.  They said she wasn't able to get up there cause she can't stand too well.  Love seems to be able to work sort of miracles.  I put my hand on her petting her gently & she had her head sort of hanging down a bit but looking at me thru the top of her eyes.  I promised her I'd be back soon & I told her to keep taking her meds & eat well so she'll get strong again.  She's got a long bit of a rough road ahead of her yet & I'll do what I can to walk it with her.
So I guess all in all I'm such soft hearted mush maybe.  But for some reason she's part my girl & I hope the Lord is happy with what I'm trying to do for her.
I think that can just abt do it for now.  Boy is it good to be back with those that seem to understand me the best.  I so love you all.

Well, you had quite an eventual trip for sure. I was sorry to hear about the event in Calgary, but it was such a blessing that you were given such great medical care when you needed it at the airport. And that\'s the kind of \"special\" treatment I like...having such a good looking \"hunk\" to take care of you. Oh my gosh, lucky you!!! But, seriously, I sure did miss you and all your great comments on my journal and photos. You are such a dear dear special friend and I am so happy that you are my friend. And you are back home again!
And thanks for the update on the sweet Blossom girl. It sure sounds like you light up her life! That is great that you may get to spend more time with her.
You take care, and thanks for the updates.

How scary was that trip, geez. I always swallow my fear when I travel, especially to foreign countries (not Canada) but thank God, I\'ve never had an episode while traveling.
It is funny how Blossom just loves you and your friend. She\'s not ferral, she just has discerning taste in friends :)
Love to you always

OH my, you HAVE had a trip haven\'t you? I\'m sorry that you had such a rough spell and I know how stressful it is to feel nauseated when you are traveling. Which does not help the nausea one bit! I guess you didn\'t get any pics of the cutie, haha. Being sick and all : D

But, I\'m glad you had a distraction and are feeling a bit better. I think you should consider seeing that naturopath again. Maybe it would be just what you need.

I like hearing that Blossom is back and getting adjusted again and that you have a plan to visit her. I know how heartbreaking it can be.

Glad you are back home and settled in. Thanks for all your comments. I appreciate your perspective! lots of love, m
