Where's the peace?
You know I have been thinking. Where's the peace in the midst of this disease. Now, don't get me wrong, I have a fairly positive attitude on most days. Then again there are the days where I am so tired, angry, and hopeless, I don't know where the peace is. My husband said to me last night. He thinks that if his father had the peace of the Lord he wouldn't be so frightened by his diagnosis of Alzheimer's. I had a reaction right away. Peace, what peace, is all I thought. He said it is in His hope. That is something to think about. I know I am going to heaven. I know there I will not have disease. And yet in the midst of fear, anger, hopelessness, it doesn't bring peace to that moment. I do feel the strength of the Lord to persevere. But where is the peace? Am I supposed to have peace? If so, how?
Today is a great day. I slept for 10 hours. Had a great cup of Coffee. I love my job. I have pilates tonight. I made a choice today to be joyful. It is working for me today. Is peace in joy? I will be thinking about this a lot.
