Where I Am Now.......
A lot of DS folks write about their losses and they write their journal entries to their lost loves. I can’t for some reason do this and I don’t know why. It has been 5 years. How can that be??? Dickie is in my heart so much that I really dread going on. Not because he was my strength and confidence in myself…..he was a person who touched people’s lives and they were better for it. I have heard this so many times since he has been gone. I just plain love him with all my heart. I know he is not here physically and that pains me. But, knowing that we both said long ago that if is one of us was left we would go on and live the life that we looked forward to. I h-a-v-e to go on…..no matter what. I W-I-L-L go on no matter what!!!.................OR, knowing him, he will "zap" me BIG time. I love him so. He always got my butt out of trouble so I know he is with me now as I do the things I need to do.

Then I think you should show your love for him by doing as he asked - Keep Living and LOVING.
Some may find it helpful, whilst others may not - it is o k to be different!
The one thing my husband asked of everyone before he died was to help, be there and take care of me as much as poss, he wanted me to get through this, to be loved and to have the best life I can.
Some of them stepped up to the plate because they loved him and wanted to honor him and it was the last thing they could do for him. As time has progressed and I have gotten a little stronger, and those around me have settled back into their own lives, I realize the mantle for that is now mine.
We love them so much, and they love and want only the best for us, so pour out that love in to you now, you need it, and he wants you to have it, take the very best care of you, and be the very best person you can be xxx
It seems to me that sharing your story and yourself IS doing a good thing which hopefully feels good to you!
