when will things get better?
well my mom told me bout a week ago that we were going broke. I'm getting a job but idk when i'll be able to start cuz it's more of a job that starts in the summer and i'll only be here till july. hmm my college doesn't have dorms so i have to get an apartment and find a job to pay for that apartment. hmm my mom has to have surgery sometime soon, she wants to get in sometime this week. she's had her period for 3 months, the docs say it's not cancerous so that's good. i guess it's a really easy surgery so that's good, i think two of my aunts had it too but it's still scary. the divorce is still hard. my mom went out two night's ago and met a guy. she say's he's to young for her but to old for me. she also said that she's not looking for a guy to date or anything just a friend someone she know's in town, but idk it's still weird that she's txting other guys and giving them her number. i guess he's commin over to hang out sometime. she told him she just wanted to be friends but he thinks she's hot so idk how well that will go. ugh.

Hey girl. Don\'t worry- things will get better. I know it may seem like things are only set to get worse--or harder at the very least, and that may be true for the time being, but that doesn\'t mean you will continue to feel badly about all of it. And eventually it will slowly start to fall into place. You are such a positive person that I know you will feel better soon- it may require some adapting and a few lifestyle changes, but I know you will come out on top.
The hardest thing for me about divorce-- or at least what affected me most at the time, was how money got tight. Good for you for looking into getting a job. It sucks to have to work at such a young age, but it will teach you a lot about managing your own money, and will be good in the long run. Plus you can prob make friends through work, etc-- there are definitely ways to make the best of it. As for the job at college bit and paying for your own rent.... I completely understand how scary that might feel right now. It can be overwhelming to think about, but I have no doubt in my mind that you will be able to do it. If you need help finding an apartment to rent, let me know, and I could help you check out different options and listings. Will you be living with a roommate from school? How does that work?
I am pretty sure my mom had the same surgery... and she was much happier afterwards..(ha) so eeven though it\'s scary, try not to think about it. I don\'t think it\'s a particularly dangerous surgery, it\'s not too invasive from what I know.
I\'m sorry you have to watch your mom start to hang out with other guys, even if she is only looking for friends. It\'s still a strange thing to see. I hope you feel better girl.. you will make it through. I\'m sorry that you have to deal with all of this- and especially that you have to worry about money like this at such a young age. But hey, look at all you\'ve been through so far. Working is hard, but it will give you a new sense of self and you will be proud of yourself for being so independent. And you will have so much fun at college! DEfinitely a bright future girl.
